RECIPE: BOLOGNAISE SAUCE

Add this simple sauce to your favourite pasta

Serves 8

Ingredients
1 big onion diced, 1 tbls tomato paste, 2 cloves garlic, 500 gm beef mince, 1 lt beef stock or 2 beef stock cubes, 1 tsp chopped oregano, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp vegetable oil, Water if need

Method
• Cook onion in oil until soft
• Add mince and cook until light in brown colour
• Fill large pot with stock (or 1 litre of water if using stock cubes) than add the rest of the ingredients
• Bring to the boil, and then simmer on a very low heat for 2 hours until it becomes a rich thick sauce
